Healthcare Service Partners, Inc. (HSP)

Healthcare Service Partners (HSP) is a unique corporation focused on providing contracted physician assistant (PA) services to meet hospital’s surgical first assistant needs. These specially trained and highly experienced APPS assist surgeons in general surgeries at Mission Hospital or St. Joseph Hospital.

HSP is led by two principals, Dr. William Akrawi and Jeffrey Bulger PA-C. Dr. Akrawi is an experienced Anesthesia Leader and Perioperative Director with over 20 years of experience.  Jeffrey Bulger is a Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) and President of a Cardiac Surgical assisting group.

STEPHANIE MURPHY

Physician Assistant 

 

Stephanie received her Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton. After working for several doctors offices and seeing how Physician Assistants were utilized in medical practice she decided to attend school to become a Physician Assistant. In 2006, she graduated with a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Loma Linda University. Stephanie moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 2007, which allowed her to work in Orthopedic Surgery for 8 years.  She moved back to Orange County, California in 2016 and has worked at HSP since 2017.

AMANDA SHANKLIN

Physician Assistant

Amanda grew up in Irvine and ventured to Boston for her undergraduate education at Harvard University where she competed on the track team.  Upon her return, she decided to pursue a career in the medical field and obtained her graduate degree from the University of Southern California in their Master of Physician Assistant Practice program. After practicing for 11 years at Community Orthopedic Medical Group in the subspecialties of joint replacement and sports medicine, she joined HSP in 2021 out of a love for surgery.  When she is not in the operating room, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children and traveling.

ERIC DIETRICH

Physician Assistant

Eric grew up in Orange County and received his Bachelor’s degree from California State University and his Physician Assistant Degree from Western University of Health Sciences where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Eric has been working as a Physician Assistant since 2001 and has extensive experience in Orthopedic, Spine, Neuro-, General, Uro-, Gyn-, Thoracic, Plastic and Robotic surgery. He is board certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant with special recognition in surgery. He is also a Fellow board member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, California Academy of Physician Assistants and Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery. 

Before becoming a PA, Eric was a Paramedic and volunteer Fire Fighter in Orange County. He enjoys sports, weight lifting, JiuJitsu and traveling with his wife and two daughters in his spare time.

NOELLE KRAUS

Physician Assistant

Noelle completed her undergraduate education at California Lutheran University with a BS in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Music with emphasis in Vocal Performance. She then received her Masters of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT in 2019. Since graduating, she has worked in different specialties including Plastic Surgery and Dermatology before transitioning to HSP in 2022. Noelle has always been dedicated to providing compassionate and exceptional patient care. When she is not in the OR, she enjoys being outside gardening, hiking and paddle boarding with her friends and family.

LILLIAN WANG

Physician Assistant

 

Lillian started her academic journey at the University of California, Irvine where she studied Biological Sciences and Medical Anthropology. Committed to entering the healthcare field, she continued her studies at Touro University, earning dual master’s degrees in Physician Assistant Studies and Public Health. Over the course of five years, she specialized as an orthopedic physician assistant with a special focus on sports medicine and total joint procedures. Driven by her passion for surgery, she then made the transition to HSP where she currently dedicates her skills full time in the operating room.

DANIELLE SWANSON

Physician Assistant

Danielle graduated from the University of California-Irvine with BS in Biological Sciences. With a passion for science and medicine, she pursued a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of California.  While working alongside a General Surgeon as a PA, Danielle discovered her love for surgery and decided to move to San Diego for an opportunity to work for a surgical assisting group.  She was able to work with and learn from many surgeons in various surgical specialties, gaining a variety of technical skills including training in robotic surgery using the DaVinci robot. When the opportunity presented itself to relocate closer to her family, Danielle moved to Orange County where she currently works for HSP.  When she is not at the hospital she enjoys spending time with her family and finding new culinary venues to enjoy.

Dr. Dolores Fazzino

Nurse Practitioner

Registered Nurse First Assist

Dr. Dolores Fazzino, DNP is a Nurse Practitioner, Medical Intuitive  and distinguished pioneer bridging the world of spirituality and wellness. With over 40 years-experience in the healthcare industry, she has assisted with over 10,500 surgical procedures. Gifted since she was a child with intuitive abilities, being empathic, and a highly sensitive person (HSP), she is a medical intuitive, healer, and visionary; she’s always been on the cutting edge. She worked under the revolutionary Dr. Bernie Siegel, an international expert and surgeon in the field of cancer treatment and complementary, holistic medicine in the 1980’s.

SHAY SEITZ

Physician Assistant

Shay Seitz has been a Nationally Board-Certified Surgical Physician Assistant since 2001.  He completed his undergraduate education at San Diego State University with a BS in Cell and Molecular Biology. During his undergraduate education he worked as a paramedic and phlebotomist. Upon completion of his undergraduate education he continued his Physician Assistant medical education at the University of Washington, Seattle.  During his PA education he focused on cardiovascular surgery, trauma surgery, and general surgery. In 2006, Shay graduated from Western University of Health Science with a Master’s in Health Education and Research. Shay has also been on faculty as a professor and clinical preceptor for USC, UCI, Western University, and Chapman University from 2006-2020. He enjoys training new medical providers while sharing his experiences and knowledge with future healthcare workers. Shay is a family man with a wife and two boys and a longtime resident of Orange County. On his time off he enjoys sailing, camping, and surfing with his family.

MEAGAN PEZESKIAN

Physician Assistant

Meagan completed her undergraduate education at the University of Montana with a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology. She then earned her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2021. After graduation she began her PA career in vascular surgery, and recently joined HSP in 2023. Prior to attending PA
school, Meagan was a medic in the California Air National Guard. Meagan
is passionate about always putting the patient first, and delivering
high-quality patient care. In her spare time you will find her in the ocean
scuba diving or at the park with her two dogs.

FATEMA DEWJI

Physician Assistant

 

Fatema, a New Jersey native, completed an accelerated dual degree program at Seton Hall University where she obtained her BS in Biology and her Masters in Physician Assistant studies. After graduation, she pursued a career in General Surgery, refining her surgical skills in a broad range of procedures. She recently relocated to Orange County, and joined HSP in 2024. Outside of the operating room, Fatema enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, and traveling.

WILLIAM AKRAWI, M.D.
Chief Executive Officer 

Dr. William Akrawi has been a Pediatric Anesthesiologist at CHOC Children's Hospital for the past 25 years, as well as an Anesthesia  Service Director and Medical Director for Perioperative Services at Mission Hospital. Dr. Akrawi obtained his medical degree from Loma Linda University and Board certification for Anesthesiology from the University of California San Diego. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School.  Dr. William Akrawi founded Healthcare Service Partners, Inc in 2017. In his free time, Dr. Akrawi loves to travel with his wife and two daughters, as well as kite surfing with colleagues.

KAYLA CANNING, MBA
Business Manager

Kayla graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a Bachelor's degree in Managerial and Organizational Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. She lived in San Diego for four years before returning to Orange County to obtain a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Before joining HSP in 2018, Kayla worked in sales for an insurance company and event planning in wedding coordination. On the weekends Kayla enjoys hanging out at the beach with friends and family. She currently helps manage every day operations for HSP.

JEFFREY BULGER, PA-C
Chief Operations Officer

For seven years Jeffrey Bulger worked in EMS as an EMT and Paramedic before attending the Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate program. Jeff spent the first three years of his PA career in Alaska as a rural medicine provider and flight medic.  In 2005, he moved to Los Angeles after accepting a position with the UCLA Cardiovascular Surgery Team.  After three years, Jeff moved to Orange County, California to work with a private Cardiothoracic surgical group.  In 2013, Jeff and two partners started their own group providing Cardiothoracic surgical assistant services to more than 20 hospitals throughout Southern California.  Currently, Jeff is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Physician Assistant Specialists-California, Inc. (PASCAL) and manages the day-to-day operations of Healthcare Service Partners, Inc. as Chief Operations Officer.

MONIQUE MCCLUSKY
Business Administrator

Monique McCluskey was medical assistant for 15 years before transferring into health administration. She graduated from North Orange County ROP and received certification in medical terminology, billing, and coding in 2001. In 2010, Monique graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's in Health Administration. She has always enjoyed the medical field, but found a special interest in medical billing and coding. She also enjoys working with patients and their insurances to help facilitate the needs of the patients and the medical practice. In her free time, Monique loves spending time with her husband and three children.
